How scholarship application data is collected, retained, and safeguarded for authorised purposes.
Use and Retention of Scholarship Data
This Scholarship Application Portal collects personal data solely for the purpose of processing and evaluating scholarship applications and administering awards. Your personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil those purposes in accordance with the Government of Montserrat's Public Service Regulations.
Unsuccessful Applicants
Information will be retained for up to five years after the application process concludes, after which it will be securely deleted.
Successful Applicants
Information for awardees will be retained for the duration of the scholarship and for up to five years thereafter to support bonding obligations and audit requirements.
Financial Information
Financial information will be retained for seven years in accordance with the Public Financial Management Act.
Identification Documents
Identification documents will be retained for verification and administrative purposes and will generally not be kept beyond two years after the application process.
Safeguards and Contact
We will take appropriate measures to safeguard your information and ensure it is used only for authorized purposes.
